A pair of sterling silver asparagus or sandwich tongs
A pair of sterling silver Asparagus or Sandwich tongs Sheffield 1935 by George Howson
Of unembellished shape, the front area with pierced geometric decoration terminating into the widened handle. These fine quality plain tongs have two pierced serving arms, with one having a lip at the tip to prevent slippage. A further sign of quality is the restrainer bar to the centre which prevents the tongs being over-stretched and losing their springiness. The tongs are of a good gauge and are in exceptional presentation condition throughout with a lovely polished finish.
