A large Art Déco sterling silver salver

Of square shape with angled corners, the ridged edge decorated with notches and surrounding the smooth centre. Standing on four flared bracket feet, with decoration on the outside analogous to the rim.
A large sized sterling silver Art Déco tray in excellent condition and good gauge from one of Birmingham’s best silversmithies. The Adie Brothers were active in Frederick Street, Birmingham from 1922 to 1962 and produced a wide range of different product categories including cutlery, silverware and hollowware in sterling silver which always had a fine craftmanship and quality in common.
