A rare small bowl,900 silver, Vienna 1918,
Design: Artur Berger, Execution: Wiener Werkstätte
Standing on four spherical feet with applied leaf decoration, the finely martellated body adorned with chased floral decoration. Rare, small bowl in 900 silver, based on a design by the designer Artur Berger which, according to the calculation book of the Wiener Werkstätte, was only produced four times. In good condition, some of the silver marks heavily rubbed but the martelé not blind polished and in good condition. The MAK (Museum of Applied Arts) in Vienna owns a contemporary photograph of this work (see here).
