An 830 silver sauce ladle in “Butterfly” pattern,
Copenhagen 1918
The front side with a subtle martelé also to the petaloid bowl, the spreading stem adorned with a butterfly.
Rare sauce ladle in “Butterfly” pattern in excellent condition. The “Butterfly” cutlery was produced in small quantities only, also by Frigast and is today one of the most sought-after cutleries of the Art Nouveau period. This is not least because neither the designer nor the first silversmith of the “Butterfly” cutlery can be clearly identified. The hammered surface as well as the butterfly pattern are in excellent condition and not overpolished in any way. Without monogram.
