Circular form standing on four flared bracket feet, the profiled rim subdivided by shell decoration. The centre with contemporary engraved coat of arms of an English noble family.
An exceptionally well crafted, early rococo sterling silver tray of great elegance. Also noteworthy is the very good, authentic preservation of the surface. Robert Abercromby became a free in 1731 and specialised in the production of trays and salvers which were always of solid quality.
