Art Déco silver coffee and tea service, probably Belgium circa 1930

Item number: 58208

An Art Déco 800 grade silver coffee and tea service,
probably Belgium circa 1930 by ACC

Basic circular shape, the smooth bodies subdivided by vertical ribs and, in the case of the tea and coffee pot and the sugar bowl, closed by a smoothly profiled lid. The rounded handles and the knobs of the lid are made of macassar wood.
Exceptionally elegant and beautifully designed coffee and tea service of the Art Déco era in excellent condition. The use of macassar wood for the handles and lid knobs illustrates the high quality of this coffee tea service. Due to its striking grain, this wood was used exclusively for veneer and was accordingly expensive. The large aperture of the teapot allows easy cleaning of the interior without any difficulties.
