A contemporary sterling silver “Betula” platter or tray,
London 2023 by Rauni Higson
The flattened walls of the navette-shaped tray protrude like steps at the tips of the opposite side and slope downwards towards the centre on the inside. With satinised surface to all parts, except of the inner edges of the steps which are decorated by diamond-like cuts getting highly polished towards the spreading edge.
Extremely elegant, graceful sterling silver tray of refined design. A unique creation by one of Britain’s leading Designers for contemporary silver. The shape of the tray was inspired by the leaves of the birch tree, which is also reflected in its name ‘Betula’ (Latin for birch).
