Shinta Nakajima (born 1989 in Tokyo/Japan) belongs to the younger generation of today’s silversmiths. His great talent, which is evident in the high-quality craftsmanship of his silver works and their harmonious formal language, was already recognised with numerous prizes and awards during his apprenticeship. His works were also awarded several times by the jurors of Goldsmith’s Hall in London.
He draws the inspiration for his silverware from nature, whereby he is particularly influenced by the special haptics and surface structure of seeds and fruits of exotic plants and incorporates these impressions into his very special artworks made of sterling silver and Britannia silver.
