Six 830 grade silver “Butterfly” tea spoons

Item number: 58305

A set of six 830 grade silver tea spoons in “Butterfly” pattern,
Copenhagen circa 1920/30

13.9 cm / 5.47″ length

The front side with a subtle martelé, the spreading stem adorned with a butterfly. A set of six teaspoons in “Butterfly” pattern in excellent condition. Currently there is also another set of six teaspoons in the same pattern available.
The “Butterfly” cutlery was produced in small quantities only, also by Frigast and is today one of the most sought-after cutleries of the Art Nouveau period. This is not least because neither the designer nor the first silversmith of the butterfly cutlery can be clearly identified. The hammered surface as well as the butterfly pattern are in excellent condition and not blind polished in any way. Without monogram.
