12 cake forks “Parallel” pattern
A rare set of twelve sterling silver “Parallel” pattern cake knives Copenhagen 1933-44 by Georg Jensen
This impressive and exceptional Georg Jensen set of twelve cake forks was made in the Parallel pattern, also known as Relief, designed by Oscar Gundlach-Pedersen in 1931, executed 1933 – 44. This set is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition. The cake forks come unengraved and they always have been.
Parallel pattern flatware is very rare and a fine example of Georg Jensen’s iconic Art Deco designs. Vintage silverware in this fine pattern is rare to find. The Georg Jensen company never reproduced the parallel design and so it is both rare and sought after.
