A modernist sterling silver tea set,

The oval shaped, plain bodies standing on a flat base and terminating into horizontally curved rims to the top. The teapot with a flat shoulder, being connected by a flush hinge with the tapered lid which is terminated by an oval knob. Tapering handles to all components, the handle and the knob of the teapot made of rosewood. The milk jug and the sugar bowl gilded to their inner side.

This tea service is a very good gauge of silver and of timeless modern elegance. Due to its very good gauge this tea service is suitable for the daily use. Design and functionality mutually define each other: The curved bodies substantially facilitate the cleaning of the inner parts, the wide aperture of the teapot enables the cleaning even with large hands.
Without any evidence to the contrary this tea service is an individual construction, which can be assumed not least because of the hammered finish which remained visible to the interior. The application of a flush hinge to the lid of the teapot as well as the use of rosewood for the handle and the knob additionally accentuate the high quality of this tea service.
This tea service is in exceptional presentation condition and shows no personal engravings. All parts hallmarked properly.
