Large silver basting spoon,
Paris 1776/77

The front and back decorated in fiddle thread pattern. The reverse with finely engraved coat of arms of a French noble house. Hallmarked with Parisian assayer’s mark of Henri Clavel, for 1775 – 1781, as well as with the date letter for 1776/77 and petite décharge.
Heavily worked basting or stuffing spoon in beautiful, authentic condition.
