Individual silver works by Miriam Hanid can be found in public and private collections as outstanding works of contemporary silversmithing. Various exhibitions, numerous awards and prizes already pay tribute to her exceptional œuvre. For example, a sterling silver centrepiece designed and executed by her form spart of the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London. As one of a few young silversmiths, she can also point to her first commissions for the English royal family.
Miriam Hanid’s work is characterised by an unusual, often vegetal-influenced design paired with excellent craftsmanship, which realises objects that blur the boundaries between an object of everyday use and a sculptural artwork.
